Management & Supervision of Taped Interviews
To ensure the quality of both the investigation and the investigator, Managers and Supervisors should, on a regular basis, evaluate both. Poor interviewing technique can not only adversly affect an investigation but ultimately could render information obtained in a poor and/or unlawful way, inadmissible. it is therefore a priority for Managers and Supervisors to regularly evaluate the quality of the investigator's interviews. This evaluation would not only identify any training needs but could avoid a possible failure of the investigation.
