Dealing with truancy and other forms of absenteeism from shcool has always been a difficult task. The implementation of Sec 444 of the Education Act 1996 has made the job of the Education Welfare Officer (EWO) a more responsible and specialised role.

The training course offered by RMH is aimed at EWS managers and EWO's who encounter and deal with parents offending against Sec 444
